Alarming discovery

I just came across some alarming stuff in today's Sunday Times. Well to be specific, it's on Page 8, titled "the Secret Lives of SG teens"

Needless to say, it's about Sex & Teens once more. Well according to the study, it seems that teens these days are losing important values and are starting to adopt some undesirable culture from the west. I agree with that and I certainly think that although Asians are conservative in some ways, some good values should be kept. Also, why keep acting like them and behaving so liberally? In the end, u're still having black hair and dark eyes, and still eat all sorts of disgusting food (can't be denied that we eat lots of nonsensical food like innards in kway chap, etc). I also don't believe in hugging as a form of greeting, we are in SG, not US.

Anyhow, back to the newspaper article. Here are what some teens said when interviewed:

1) Average Age when they had their first sexual experience: 15.5
My view on this--> what?! 15.5?? That's like sec 3 or 4 for Christ's sakes! so young?? crazy man..

2) Would you have sex with someone you're not in a relationship with?
13 said YES while only 7 said No.

My view on this: ?!?!?!?! YES??? what kind of answer is that? Majority said they would slp with people w/o any attachment. oh my god. *faints* i wanna die already. so what is this, slping around with anyone else like that in the west is ok? imagine ppl slping ard with frdz or classmates. *urgh* so disgusting. one night stands with some other guy/gal that u pick up from the pub or sth is bad too. imagine the amount of "dirt" and disease going around.

That's just 2 of the questions asked. But the answers gotten from them is already totally unacceptable. Well seriously, I think 15.5 is too young to begin with. And one 18-yr-old JC guy even admits to having 7 sexual partners since he was 14. my goodness.... so many? and start so young somemore. how did he manage it? So disgusting to sleep with so many different people too. those are some 7 stupid girls man. And if this problem carries on, imagine, how many fellas would ur final partner have slept with? Suddenly, I feel so disgusted. and imagine after those ppl sleep with so many guys or girls, then they go breed with their spouses, omg, what if they pass the poor innocent person some disease? horrible...

Class outing!

Whee~! My JC class had a gathering at my teacher's place today. It's been a year since all of us met up together to catch up and play some games. It was a fun night and many of us enjoyed it :> I don't know, when I talked to some whom I haven't met for long, I felt that it was so refreshing... It was so nice to see them again and they're indeed an interesting bunch(some of which are people who can really have a good quality conversation about anything under the sun with me). So much more interesting that people with weird hairdos(seriously can't stand guys with non-simple & short hairstyles. they try to and think they look stylish with all those weird hairdos n colour but in fact they look like crap. my goodness.) and those who keep talking about nothing but Mayday.. etc etc. Ok I don't mean to offend those who like them but I'm just referring to some people in school who obviously don't share the same interests as me.

Anyhow, we had potluck and some pretty nice tasting food too. Well, afterall everyone put in some effort so, we should appreciate it. We ended with 2 rounds of games admist all the football and etc. A game of polar bear and this fun drinking(water) game though a few of the girls had to drink quite a bit. lol...

Thanks to Kenny, the person who made this possible and to everyone else for making it a nice night.

I'm glad that we'll be having another gathering in the coming months. Yay! :)

P.S. pictures will be posted when i get back to hall. now too tired to write more. zzZZ..
And did I mention, I think her kids look great. Can already imagine how they'll look like if they grow up well. wahh so good-looking... :D

Mousey mousey

I saw a very cute mouse/ or small rat this morning as I was standing outside LT33 before my test. I was busy fiddling with my earpiece when I felt something licking my feet. Oh my, I got such a shock when I looked down. I mean, who would expect to see a mouse licking ur feet (ah i was wearing slippers) outside a lecture theatre (moreover it was on the 2nd floor of a building. pretty clean and all)? If it was near some rubbish dump or jungle, there wouldn't be that element of suprise. Anyhow, what came to my mind when I saw that rat was, "oh no! don't bite me just yet! What if it is diseased?" So as soon as I could get my mind working, I retracted my leg as fast as I could and then just stared with my eyes popping out, in shock. Still couldn't believe what I saw. haha..

After a while, we went into the LT for our test. I thought that was the end of the mouse story. But midway into the test, some girl behind me went "there's a mouse!" *suprised once more* Apparently, that mouse ran into the LT. lol.... and the lecturer tried walking around to look for it, looking pretty amused at the same time. Well, he couldn't find it. I guess that was some lost mouse. lol... But then again, 1 senior said he ever saw a cute mouse there too. Strange, do they rear cute mice there? and let them loose to run around in lecture theatres? lol... *amused*

Quote of the day

My quote for the day shall be: "The Serpent lies beneath the innocent flower". Sometimes I really love this quote for it accurately describes some people. It's also easy to understand. But the sad thing is, how many can really discover the serpent that is beneath the innocent flower? Most of the time, the average human can't tell unless they have seen the serpent rear its ugly head. And of course the serpent is smart enough to conceal itself beneath itz fine outer cover. CAn't blame people too, after all, humans are humans, we are genetically coded to see innocent flowers as innocent flowers, cute objects as cute objects and be blinded by their cover. For me, I believe that I have met enough serpents in this life to accurately identify them should I see one. But seriously, I'm sick of seeing them. i want them out of my life. For as long as possible. *pukes*

The Deadly Combination

As said, I have a lab and a test scheduled on 1st of March. Seems like a pretty bad start of the month, with so many problems popping up and so many peopl around me same at the same time. Anyhow, with my barrage of problems, I still had to somehow survive the Wednesday that just passed. And I only managed to study for half of my test. Initially I thought that shit, i'm gonna die for my test and stuff. but who knows after that I became happy. Simple, for one reason. Because of my undying attitude to try & try again. Although I didn't do as well as I wanted (since I didn't prepare enough), but at least during the test, I tried and did better that I could otherwise do.

Impressive, little that I know that WeyL was in the exact same boat as me. And both of us were happy after receiving the deadly combi. haha.. We survived it! yay...

So next time, if u r a strong person and u are having problems, just go kamikaze and do crazy stuff, the crazier the better. haha.
